Work With Me
Forty years of breath, rhythm, and presence work in San Francisco and beyond. Three ways into it.
Drum & Music Circles
Drumming together is older than language. Long before words were currency, people gathered around fires and drums and let rhythm do the work of belonging. I've been facilitating that gathering for over thirty years — in senior living communities, corporate teams, festivals, family events, neighborhood circles. The drums are real, the welcome is real, no skill required. What people walk away with isn't a music lesson. It's the felt sense of being part of something larger than themselves.
Drum & Rhythm Classes
Rhythm doesn't belong to anyone. It runs underneath every culture that ever made music, and it's already inside you — that's the starting point of every class I teach. Whether it's a child working with attention, an adult sitting down at a tabla for the first time, or a circle of beginners finding a beat together, my work goes with the person, not the curriculum. Experience comes first. Explanation follows. The goal is independence — you playing on your own, long after our work together ends.
Sessions with Me
Some of this work happens best one-on-one. Forty years across breath, body awareness, and energy practice has taught me that real change usually arrives through small reliable shifts rather than dramatic ones — and small shifts need quiet attention to land. A session is sixty to ninety minutes of that quiet attention. We work with what's actually present in your nervous system today, not with a method imposed from outside. Most people come back. That's how I know it's working.
